I am available to work with your family doing childcare, tutoring, playing taxi, running errands, doing light house work and cooking simple meals.

About my qualifications:
I have 7 years experience in the education system, assisting K-8 and teaching preschool. I have an AA in Child Development and spent most of my life in childcare. I've also done postpartum doula and personal assistant work. I have a clean driving record, my own vehicle and CPR/First Aid certification, as well as having passed TB testing and fingerprinting.

About my philosophy:
I was raised and have worked in alternative/constructive/holistic education. I believe in nurturing the "whole child" through providing a safe and challenging environment for growth. Shaming, punishment or extrinsic rewards for the purpose of control aren't in alignment with how I feel people should be treated. Instead I emphasize problem solving skills, communication and developmentally appropriate expectations.

About me:
I sing and play guitar, dig art projects, cooking plans and reading books. I just moved from Los Angeles, and would love to explore some of the city.

I'm an SFSU student, and my schedule is currently in transition. Please contact me for availability.

Ideally I would like to join a family that has an interest in my philosophy and can offer 15 or more hours of work a week. I charge $20-$25 an hour based upon the kind of work, time of day and number of children.
