I am a 29 year old teacher from Massachusetts. I love children and have 18 years experience taking care of children of all ages, including those with special needs. I have been teaching for 7 years. I love to do things that kids love to do - play games, draw, color, crafts, sports, video games, etc. I am CPR/First Aid certified, and am a great swimmer. I am organized, trustworthy, reliable. I am firm, but fair. I have high expectations for children but also recognize their need to just be kids. I am looking for a live-in summer nanny position for school-aged children. Not only do I work with Jessica at the after school program, but my 3 children have been her students for 7+ years. I am very impressed with many aspects of Jessica's life. She is a very dedicated, caring person and I have witnessed many of her abilities. She is able to keep many things organized and on track. With a very busy schedule, Jessica does a great job being where she needs to be, having everything planned and always being upbeat and positive. I enjoy working with her on a daily basis and I feel she is able to handle many different types of people, personalities and situations. I feel she would be a good match for a variety of families.

Jess or Miss Gouday as my 2 children know her by. She is so great with kids. They love to be around her and her energy and creative ideas are outstanding. My 2 children see her almost everyday and there has never been a bad word. I have a hard time getting them to leave. Whenever I need help with the kids for schoolwork in the after school program. You will not find a better nanny then Jess!!

My children have attended the after school program with her for the past 2 years and absolutely love going in to spend the afternoon with her. Even when I am home, they prefer to be at the school with her. It has gotten to the point where my 2.5 year old runs into the school and bears hugs her every afternoon!!

What I love about Jess is that she absolutely loves to do all the things that the kids love. It is not uncommon to walk in and find her on the floor playing a game, coloring in a picture, or working with the kids on their homework.

In addition, she is absolutely honest about being firm, but fair. She understands kids need boundaries and she sticks to them. They really respect her for this. The boundaries are always age appropriate and reasonable.

I really do feel that you will not find anyone better to care for your kids than Jess. I am more than willing to talk with anyone who has more questions about her!! (Thu, Mar. 06, 2008)
